Description
- The ideal temperature of a white wine is 9 to 12 degrees Celsius. It should never be put in the freezer, because all its ingredients will be spoiled. For seafood or fish a dry white wine is more suitable. To accompany cheeses a sweeter wine makes a nice combination.
- White wine is best drunk in a tulip-shaped glass.
- Red wines are kept at 16-18 degrees Celsius. If red wine is refrigerated, it loses all its flavor. It is just being destroyed.
- Red wine is drunk in a glass that is lighter at the top than normal. This allows oxygen to leak into the wine and bring out all its aromas.
- Red wines are preferred with red meat (beef, pork, game) and red sauces.
